Cy Twombly from Art Institute of Chicago

I thought it would be nice to share some close ups of his work I took myself. Enjoy a few quotes:)

‘To paint involves a certain crisis, or at least a crucial moment of sensation or release, and by crisis it should by no means be limited to a morbid state, but could just as well be one ecstatic impulse.’ Twombly

My line is childlike but not childish. It is very difficult to fake... to get that quality you need to project yourself into the child's line. It has to be felt. (Cy Twombly)
